Mr. Fleming
Chief Instructor
Mr. Fleming is a 3rd Degree Black Belt whose passion for Taekwondo is reflected in his continued training and dedication to his students. He's goal is to help students of all ages and skill levels develop confidence, discipline, and respect through martial arts. He strives to create a supportive, motivating environment while building strong fundamentals while encouraging personal growth, perseverance, and a positive mindset both inside and outside the dojang.
Throughout the year, he attends state, national, and world-level training events to strengthen his skills, expand his knowledge, and remain current with the American Taekwondo Association curriculum.
As Chief Instructor, he provides students with high-quality martial arts instruction while helping to develop good character and life skills needed to succeed at home, at school, and throughout the community. He believes Taekwondo is about more than physical ability - it also builds discipline, confidence, respect, perseverance, and leadership.
Mr. Fleming is an ATA-certified Level 3 judge and has trained under 5th Degree Black Belt Mr. Armstrong. He has also attended training sessions with Chief Master Church, who has operated the number-one ATA school for more than 15 years. One of Mr. Fleming’s personal accomplishments was becoming World Champion in Sparring and Combat Weapons Sparring in 2020. Another was being awarded Black Belt of the Year for Region 119-A.
Mr. Fleming brings the experience of a champion and the heart of a teacher to every class. His goal is to help each student grow into a skilled martial artist and a confident, respectful leader.
Mrs. Helm
Certified Instructor
Mrs. Helm is a dedicated 3rd Degree Black Belt and ATA certified instructor, known for her passion and expertise in Taekwondo. She has a level 3 judging certification and holds many titles in Washington State and the Northwest Districts. One of the high lights is qualifying in the Top 10 at the World Championships in 2024 and 2025.
In addition to her martial arts accomplishments, Mrs. Helm holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching and is among the elite 4% of U.S. teachers to achieve National Board Certification. Her teaching style is infused with positivity and creativity, ensuring an engaging and supportive environment for her students on and off the mats. Committed to fostering both skill and confidence, Mrs. Helm inspires the next generation of martial artists to strive for excellence.
